Brief Bio:
Dr. Sushant Kumar is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
He previously served as a Senior Project Engineer at the Centre for Mechatronics, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, from March 2024 to December 2024.
Prior to that, he worked as a Research Associate III in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT BHU),
Varanasi, India, from November 2022 to February 2024. He received his Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Tezpur University, India,
and an M.Tech. in Bioelectronics from Tezpur University, India. He completed his B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Netaji Subhash Engineering College,
Kolkata, India. During his Ph.D., he was awarded the Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Fellowship by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
His primary research interests include compressed sensing, embedded machine learning, and deep learning ,
particularly their applications in rehabilitation robotics, exoskeletons and biomedical signal and image analysis.
